It doesn't look legit to me, as a newcomer.
muman You certainly have a conundrum. You can hang around and see if it lasts or you can assess this as a scam and treat it accordingly. How do we know that you're not AI? Wait... too much "I" to be AI.
On a more serious note, participate in one of the challenges. The odds are decent. You might actually win. If you win something, you can reassess when the prize shows up. At worst, you are out a write-up of something that you would have probably done anyway.
On a weird sidebar... this question would probably be better suited for the Members Area of the Community Hub - instead of the Raspberry PI forum. The site is pretty big so "Where do I put that?" is a legit question.
Yes, I have a conundrum.
I have posted a couple of minor things in element14 and both were flagged as offensive or spam, so I was unable to reply. Then I looked up "element14" on Google. It did not look good. Did you try that?
When I reviewed some hardware CooCox that was marketed by element14 (is it the same element14?), it was obvious it much of the circuit design had been [incorrectly] copied from the original Arduino. And I have seen that there a many Chinese scam websites (like this) just set up to steal your data.
But it's encouraging to get such a powerful response!
I'll get my coat.
