It doesn't look legit to me, as a newcomer.
muman You certainly have a conundrum. You can hang around and see if it lasts or you can assess this as a scam and treat it accordingly. How do we know that you're not AI? Wait... too much "I" to be AI.
On a more serious note, participate in one of the challenges. The odds are decent. You might actually win. If you win something, you can reassess when the prize shows up. At worst, you are out a write-up of something that you would have probably done anyway.
On a weird sidebar... this question would probably be better suited for the Members Area of the Community Hub - instead of the Raspberry PI forum. The site is pretty big so "Where do I put that?" is a legit question.

Oh? That's unfortunate.
I've released your blog post from the moderation queue, the system decided it had a few too many links in it - this might crop up again if you edit the content, but we can approve it again
Absolutely a scam. Hang around here and you'll soon spend your paycheck on microcontrollers, FPGAs, soldering tools and test equipment. You'll lust after multiTHz bandwidth scopes, programmable terraamp power supplies, infinitely programmable signal generators, and high speed FPGA fabric devices with billions of LUTs. All to have your garage door open when you SHOULD be coming home, not when you actually do so.
Bow down to your finite state machine empowered overlords!
That's nice to know!
I have posted a couple of minor things in elemen14 and both were flagged as offensive or spam, so I was unable to reply. Then I looked up "element14" on Google. It did not look good. Did you try that?
When I reviewed some hardware CooCox that was marketed by element14 (is it the same element14?), it was obvious it had been [incorrectly] copied from the original Arduino design. And I have seen that there a many Chinese scam websites that just steal your data.
But it's encouraging to get such a powerful response!
I'll get my coat.
Yes, I have a conundrum.
