Should Analog be added to the Technologies

I am in the process of writing a blog on a vacuum tube project.  I noticed that it doesn't fit into any of the existing Technologies groups.  I originally brought this up in the feed-back forum.  Doug replied by suggesting that Analog should be added to the technology groups.  This could cover designs and blogs that take a more traditional approach... and don't otherwise fit into the other existing groups.

  • Analog group would be nice, but I don't think of vacuum tubes as analog really. Sort of legacy electronics. I still remember going to the hardware store with my dad to buy new vacuum tubes when the TV went out. Plus had to learn about them in technical school way back in 1993. Don't see to many old electronic devices still in use with them.

    I have a similar memory to yours also dating from the early 1990s.  When I was a kid I came across a film projector at my grandparents' house.  It wasn't working... my dad encouraged me to pull out a tube that was inside and go to Radio Shack to see if they had a replacement.  Our local Radio Shack had only one tube.  It wasn't a match but they gave it to me for free.  So I guess I have the honor of taking the last tube at that particular store.
