question on standard resistor values

Hey all,

I'm getting back into my electronics and I'm wondering if anyone knows where i can find a chart with standard resistor values. Also does anyone know where I can get a resistor Value chart. I know you can get all this online, but I'm looking for a chart i can take with me encase i'm offline and don't have the ability to be online.

    Hi, It's just called a E-series, it's not really a chart, it's just a list of numbers. From Wikipedia , it is (for E24, which are the most popular generally): E24 values (5% tolerance) …

    It's just called a E-series, it's not really a chart, it's just a list of numbers. From Wikipedia, it is (for E24, which are the most popular generally):

    E24 values
    (5% tolerance)
    1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.6, 1.8, 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, 2.7,
    3.0, 3.3, 3.6, 3.9, 4.3, 4.7, 5.1, 5.6, 6.2, 6.8, 7.5, 8.2, 9.1

    From that short list, you have all the detail required; for instance, since (say) the value 3.3 is there, then that means that standard resistor values will include 3.3 ohm, 33 ohm, 330 ohm, 3.3 kohm, 33 kohm, 330 kohm, and so on.

    All you need to do is save that list on you phone, or print it out or write it in a notebook.

    There are other E series, but E24 resistor values are low-cost and easy to find.
