We're considering allowing support for KiCAD schematics on the community - interested?
Though we will wait until it's a bit more oven-cooked, we wouldn't want to open up to vulnerabilities:

An alternative to embedding could be to allow the user to upload a preview of the schematic along with a URL and to hyperlink it to KiCanvas.org with the location of the design file appended as the query string.
Making KiCAD drawings available fits with our community. Ensuring the site is secure has to be a priority. Due diligence on the security front if most important.
Great Idea! I would suggest using the viewer made by NextPCB, it is based on kicanvas and under continuous development. A few days ago they have embedded it in https://www.kicadprojects.com/ The viewer in available on git: github.com/.../ecad-viewer
I don't know if we should welcome PCB manufacturer software embedded in the forum. We have a long history of them trying to interfere with fake accounts, and giving incentives to their customers to join and post 1 positive review here, for rebates. And more
I agree - pcb vendor software has an obvious vested interest and a poor reputation.
