Makers Central

Makers Central is on this weekend at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.

When I last visited in 2019 it was mostly focused on woodworking. But I thought I would check it out again as there's quite a lot of other types of makers there this year. There's Colin Furze with his screw tank and other crazy inventions, James Bruton from XRobots, Droidbuilders, Look Mum no Computer, Nerdforge, Xyla Foxlin, Kids invent stuff and many more.

There are demonstrations, workshops and lots of tool sellers.

There will also be several of the makers from Element14 Presents there on the Saturday. And I'm there all weekend.

So of you are about, see you there. I'll be wearing an E14 Presents T-shirt.

I was hoping I could drag my family along, especially as my 9-year-old old had an invention (a driveable treehouse) made by Kids Invent Stuff back when he was 5, but they're not keen to go. I'm not sure I'm quite up for going all that way and spending the whole day on my own.

Wow, claim to fame. I'm a bit old to be getting Kids invent stuff to make my projects for me
