New Workshop

Workshopshed
Workshopshed
2 Nov 2020

Having moved house back in September I'm slowly getting the workshop into shape. I've bought some benches and given the first one a coat of "garage floor" paint. This should make for a hard wearing surface. I've also decided that the maker cabinet to the right of the first picture will be just electronics and related. Other tools will be placed into plastic boxes and placed onto the big shelving at the back of the workshop. There should also be some dedicated space for garden tools. One challenge is to find a place to store a 3m+ ladder. I'm suspecting hooks is the solution for that.

That's a great space to set up. If that was at my house, it would be full of sewing and craft stuff if I didn't move fast enough.

A lot of the stuff on the left is gardening tools so I need to have better storage for that. I don't mind sharing with sewing and craft stuff though.

You have a really great space and the lighting is also very good. I always feel that the lighting is one of the most important aspects. You are going to have a great time putting it together. If encroachment becomes a problem just remember that encroachment can work both ways.

What a huge space, even if you have to share it!! I am envious!

My challenge isn't as much "Use it or lose it" as it is encroachment.  At one time (a long, long time ago), the entire basement was mine.  Not so much anymore. image
