20 May 2015

Excited about the discussions we’re having about our piezoceramics and ultrasonic systems at Booth 12-264, Sensor+Test 2015 in Nurnberg, Germany. There is much to learn about measuring, testing, and monitoring at the conference this year. If Sensor+Test isn’t on your schedule, please learn more about us at our website: www.piezotechnologies.com

This is NOT a blog - it's an advert.

Look at the other blogs on E14 and ask yourself if you seriously believe that this kind of boots-on spamming will win you any business.

You could have posted something interesting in the spirit of the E14 blogging context but you've gone for two  nearly identical pictures of some bloke looking desperate for company at an exhibition.

Meggit do make some interesting products so why don't you get one of your engineers to do a proper technical blog that might actually interest people.

I do that sometimes but they disappear without trace or comment - I wanted to give Meggit a chance to come back because I know they could say something interesting about using piezo sensors and materials.

(It's a subject I'm interested in because I designed piezo electric accelerometers about 25 years ago and one of them sold more than 2 million devices  - which was the largest number of anything I've ever designed image).

Hi Michael, I usually let the posts slide as long as they have even a hint of electronic or scientific content. You are 100% correct though about the difference between a vendor putting some effort into providing valuable information and just flashing their name in front of us. I too would like to know more about piezo electronic devices. Let's see if they come back and check their posting for comments and respond.

Thanks for noting this - this post went on our other social media sites and inadvertently was posted here.  Appreciate your patience, I'll get it deleted here shortly.
