Raspberry pi Questions

I have never purchased a Raspberry pi of any sort; so I was wondering if anyone out there could answer me a few of the following questions:

If I were to buy a Raspberry pi zero how much money would it cost to make it as capable of doing things as the Raspberry pi 3?

If I did that would it run as fast as a Raspberry pi 3?

Would it also power the same amount of stuff?

A low priority project of mine concerns the RaspPi Zero. BTW I also have a RaspPi 3B mounted in a SmartiPi (tm =Trademark) Case that also houses the "official" -7" RaspPi TouchScreen. With an attachable location for a Bitscope on the Case's Lego (tm) Studs.

AAR I have booted Raspian -Jessie 2016-05-27 on the RaspPi Zero and got to the Raspian GUI Window. But the attached USB Keyboard and USB Mouse DID NOT work . These two USB Devices were connected via a cheapie Chinese OTG Hub. IDK (I Don't Know) whether it is the OTG Hub that is Bad OR What?. I am going to buy a powered USB3.0 Hub to swap-out (Trouble-shoot)

AAR I have two Q's myself: Q1: The microUSB -B receptacle marked " J10 USB" cannot? supply +5v to any attached USB Devices? Can it? If it does, where does it come from ? The microUSB -B receptacle marked "J1 Pwr In"? Is there a Block Diagram/Schematic for the RaspPi Zero.?

Q2; The USB3.0 Hub that I am going to Buy, has a RJ-45 Jack for Wired LAN. I know that this USB-to-RJ45 IS SUPPORTED ON WIN10. What about Raspian?

Long Range Plan is to get the RaspPi working as a SBC (Single Board Computer) first, then when the S/W & Apps are stable, strip down to

the bare minimum. Possible RaspPiZero w/ RTC Shim and possible BT/RF-NearField  USB Nob Adapter(s)

TS 03OCT16. Follow-up. I bought and Used (successfully) a Bidul USB Hub 3/0 w/ ethernet Adapter. This Bidul unit works Fine on my RaspPi 3B, but not on my RaspPi Zero. WTF? Raspian seemed to have support for these type(s) of USB 3.0 Hubs, I did not have to download any drivers.   Same version of Raspbian. Same H/W aside from a RaspPi 3B Instead of RaspPi Zero. WTF2? AAR this is a low priority project for me. So, if you Guys/Gals want anymore info, I may pick-up the Baton again.

Thanks for your replies I will definitely keep them in mind for when I get my Raspberry pi zero or 3B. BTW on your questions I don't really know since I don't have one yet.
