The Chicken Coop Project

I live on the side of Tiger Mountain in the Issaquah alps.  We keep chickens but there are a lot of predators in the woods so they are caged in.  But I still need to watch them.  I currently use a fixed IR in the coop and another PT  ip camera  outside.  I am making a controller and have drawings in Google Sketch-Up.  image

  • Nice!  I am a little obsessed with watching my chickens, I have a grand idea in my head about a Coop Nanny that would monitor, record (livestream?), send me heat warnings and possibly keep weather data such as daylight hours, temperature, etc.  It would be awesome to have the Nanny send me an alert if there is night activity (predators)...  Seems like a good time for me to get this down in a requirements doc, right?
