reasons for the upgrade:
The previous version only uses the Hercules RM42x platform as a device for displayar the voltage and current and the main board power supply uses dobre. I have not understand the reasons but there comes a time when the transistors increase in temperature and begins to become sinusoidal current at a variable frequency. Fails to find the reason of the problem, so I decided to improve the circuit and make some changes. Giving much more functions to the Hercules RM42x platform as the main control device inside the power supply.

This non-linear current is 10 Amps and do that the output capacitor overheating and damage to the capacitors. Characteristics output capacitor: 1uF / 250 Volts / unpolarized

I like the simplified design.

You should get better reliability with fewer components, plus the output looks very stable.

to test the power supply, we had to make a resistor with copper bars and salt water, which allows consumption to 50 A, well water used must have a lot of dissolved salt: - )

I'm not someone who knows chemistry but I was impressed that the copper bars finish with another color:

I like it.

The copper is oxidizing due to the sodium in the salt creating levels of sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid with the chloride from the salt.

So you get copper oxide from the oxygen reacting with the copper and you get copper chloride from the chlorine reacting with the copper.

So you get an interesting mix of green and blues.

Keep us posted on what you find.

You can get some interesting chemical reactions when you use raw ore.

It should be interesting to experiment though.
