An Electric Fan Into a Wind tunnel?

For anyone out here, I am wondering if this guy is for real? Is his statements based on true electrical fact or just a lot of fiction? Please comment below.

The Fan to Wind Turbine generator vid seemed straight to me. Simple and reasonable steps and a disappointing conclusion - that's real life ! MK

I don't see anything wrong with his work - moving magntetic fields through coils like that will generate AC. It was interesting, although it was a foregone conclusion that it would have poor performance…

Something MacGyver in the 90's TV series of the same name, would do. His TV fan moto would generate enough energy to arc weld:)

That DC-DC converter looked familiar. It's the one michaelkellett tried to tame for a customer, I think: LTC3780 buck boost converter
