The Sinclair QL

Since I have made lots of friends in the QL community I'm very happy to say that  the QL is now 30

Based on the 8bit version of the 68K the 68008 and 128K of RAM it opened a whole range of

3rd party hardware/software and still after all this time has a wide following and Vendor support

I wonder if the Sinclair could be made to do something like this - http://www.keacher.com/1216/how-i-introduced-a-27-year-old-computer-to-the-web/

Hi John, what a great blog entry. It's always fun seeing old computing videos. I wasn't overly familiar with the QL but the 68k was such a great microprocessor, (and was powerful enough for the games consoles like Sega Megadrive :-) The videos were cool, I noticed one of them pointed off to 'Micro Men' with Martin Freeman - hard not to see him as a hobbit while watching bits of it though :-)

Do you still have a QL?

I used to repair and "mod" the QL so yes I have one or two plus a grave yard of all sorts of Stuff.

I still think it would make a good project Vehicle for some FPGA work ....Hint Hint image
