OK I'm ripping off my mate Jim again, sure he won't mind as he really can't be bothered to do the Blog posts image

This week he's taken  the nichrome wire out of a toaster and making a couple of nice new toys namely an Acrylic Bender and Hot wire Polystyrene cutter.

Murder a toaster and have fun today !!! image

I found his foam cutting nice and therapeutic, a bit like popping those packing bubbles

Sadly, the kind that would blame his kids for a broken toaster in order to salvage parts ...

I'm puzzled by extracting nichrome wire from a toaster.image

Most of our have had a flat wire for ages.

There is a brand of heater with a coiled wire inside a glass?? tube that was a good source of wire, and they had two different size elements.

They were great because you couldn't make contact with the electricity ...might be hot but electrically safe.

He's got a couple of 'well catered' cats.

They could be blamed, and if they were trained he wouldn't need to go to all this trouble in our challenge.image
