Why does it matter?!

Most of my work is in aviation and avionics where wifi is plage along with 'on the go' usb ports on routers so almost 99% is WIRED, and wifi turned off! This type of paranoia extends in my SmartHab project. We don't want my house security to be snooped or hacked! So in the long run matter does not mater. It's a hole you can't close! Wifi is the hole you can't close the door once you open it. Like a wifi printer on you desk, are you that lazy that you can't run a usb cable 3 feet? ~~ Cris H

  • I'm wireless wherever possible. I rent an apartment. Can't put new wires in a wall and don't want network cables on the floor.  Wirless printer allows me to put it aside, so that it doesn't use prime space on or near my work area. It sits in a closet.

    I also move my work area to whatever is the nicest place that day. In the winter in the rooms where there is sunshine. In the summer to where there is shadow. 

    Even my HDMI for TV is wireless. Works really well, and I don't have an HDMI cable on the living room floor between access point and where the TV is. There is a walkway between those two points

      Yup so do I. last 15 years or so. but I grab PVC and run it around the ceiling. BTW I started with this madness when I had the ISP (still up -400+ customers. now 2 box on a 1Gb fiber line from ATT. I hate the price of the dam fingers and routing stuff. Price is about 30$ / 6' where PVC is $5+ for a 10" of 2".
