June 2016 Site Update

Is it June already??! In our 4th site update of the year (which went live on Tuesday night), we've got some nice improvements for mobile / touch-based devices, and a whole host of other fixes & enhancements across the site.

• The main menu now works more intuitively for touch-based devices, so the first touch of 'Resources' pops up the sub-menu, and doesn't try to take you off to the resources area.
• All Design Center pages will have a mini-menu with filter which will display on smaller screens.
• You can now add images to your content when you're on your smartphone!

Improvements

• Add product links each RoadTest Review.. makes it easier to find the product on the store!
• Redesign & Update the countdown clock.. it looks a lot nicer now!
• Add bookmark option to RoadTests and RoadTest Reviews
• Allow unavailable products to display in Product detail panels (rather than showing an error)
• Change the default widgets that appear on the right-side for a RoadTest
• Re-work the Cadsoft Freemium form to make it as simple as possible for our members to get the trial
• Improve a few German translations based on staff feedback

Fixes

• URL for prev/next is incorrect for some content types (like Video)
• The auto-link process was deleting some parts when it converts others to product links (an edge-case noticed by a top member)
• US users weren't getting RoHS CofC because search is done on the UK site.. that's now fixed
• Alter Events so that URLs for the event are fixed when not specified properly
• Search text doesn't fit button in French language
• Replace browser pointer with 'Hand' icon on RoadTest application confirmations
• Typo in main nav for CadSoft
• Bookmarked items weren't loading in some situations
• One particular user can't create a RoadTest Review
