In January we upgraded the site to the latest version of the platform we use (Jive). That was a massive undertaking for the team, and we've been pleased with how it's been received by our members, as well as how the site performed during the recent Raspberry Pi 3 launch.
It's not been without its issues, and last night we deployed our first update which squashes a bunch of bugs, and makes a number of improvements.
A couple of weeks ago, cstanton and I worked on how to improve video playback on the site; those improvements are live, and the experience on mobile devices should be a lot better. We're looking at moving to a new HTML5 player in an upcoming update when we've been able to code and fully test it.
In the next site update, Dudley has been doing a great job sorting out problems with video uploads; we're looking forward to getting those fixes deployed in the coming weeks.
