In our first site update of 2026, due to be released on 3rd February, we're excited to reveal some new features that we hope you'll really like.
Membership Length Achievement
The next time you login or edit your profile, the system will award you an achievement (and points) for the number of years you've been a member of element14 Community. We're hoping to have this in place for release day, but it may take a few extra days to configure all the badges.
Show us your Flair!
Once you've unlocked your membership length achievement it will automatically appear on your profile page, plus you'll also be able to add up to 2 other achievements to show off.
Here's how it should look (note that the achievement images are being worked on & will be different from this development screenshot).
Member Since
On your profile, as well as seeing your 'RoadTester Since' date (assuming you've been a RoadTest Reviewer), you'll also now see a 'Member Since' panel;
New Achievements for Forum Threads & Projects
We've set up what we need behind the scenes to allow us to award achievements meeting set criteria for Forum Threads or Project Blogs or Articles being created in a particular group in a specified time period. Our content team will be able to use this in upcoming challenges, etc.
Viewing your RoadTest and Design Challenge Entries
You've previously asked to be able to view the entries you've made for RoadTests and Design Challenges.
We've added a couple of ways to get to your entries, one from the RoadTest/Design Challenge itself, and another from the 'My Content' page of your profile where we have added an 'Entries' tab.
Biographies in Member Profiles
The biography field was a target for spammers, so we've reduced the capabilities & now only allow basic text to be entered. The text is cleaned up when the profile is saved.
That covers off all the big changes that we think you'll be most interested in. There are also a tonne of bug fixes and small improvements; a lot based on your feedback & bug reports. If there's anything else you'd like to see improved, or you spot any bugs, please let us know & we'll look into it.
