Can't play YouTube video embedded in Blog Post

Having a terrible time trying to include video.  I have a larger (~1GB) mp4 that fails to upload, so I tried to embed a YouTube link.

Th YouTube link works correctly if I use it directly in the browser.  But if I try to play the link that I've embedded in a blog post - all I see is a black rectangle.

This is using the Chrome browser and it used to work.  I tried "Empty Cache and Hard Reload", but that didn't help.  It does run in an Incognito window.  Does that mean that I need to clear my cookies for this site?  Are there any negative effects caused by doing that?
