Creation of RoadTest Review when RoadTest is re-opened for enrolment

Dear element14 Staff,

I've encountered an interesting situation, being selected as a RoadTester for the Toshiba Thermoflagger IC here: /products/roadtest/rt/roadtests/648/toshiba_thermoflagger_over-temperature_detection_ic_ref_board#pifragment-4106=9

Because this is a short RoadTest that I want to get out of the door as soon as possible, I tried to create a RoadTest Review but was thwarted. The RoadTest page button is "View entry" rather than to "Write review".

Going back to the main RoadTest page and trying to "+ New" a RoadTest Review, I get the review form but the RoadTest is not in the list that I can see.

I suspect this to be a limitation of the RoadTest app? Is there any way to easily fix this, or will I have to wait until the third RoadTester is selected before I can submit my review?

    Just thought I'd tag you,   and as you normally handle all the RoadTest enquiries.

    It is an unusual situation - should I wait until you recruit the 3rd Thermoflagger RoadTester? Or is there a way around this? (e.g. you disable enrollment, create a draft for me, then re-enable it; or there may be some setting you can change at your end?)

    Hey Gough,

    I can see that you're currently listed as a RoadTester, I suspect you're a victim of an automated part of the system, and that the RoadTest application period has been extended. It's a guess, but I suspect you may have to wait until the enrolment period is over before you can select and choose your RoadTest Review, or maybe you'll need to be removed and re-added as a RoadTester.

    I can raise this with the dev team on Monday before the team in America wakes up, and to try to supplement that earlier I'll tag  now so that he should see it first thing on Monday.

    Indeed, my expectation was that once I was listed as a RoadTester in the sidebar, I should be able to author a RoadTest review for that particular RoadTest regardless of the status of the RoadTest. It is very much an edge case when there is a short RoadTest being completed while the enrolment is being re-opened ... but perhaps something worth fixing to avoid it in the future.

    After all, I was hoping to upload the review this weekend (Sydney time) but alas, was not able to. Nevertheless, I also see site maintenance is coming up too ...

    That's correct   - it won't let you start until the application period has ended.

    I'm not sure it's a necessary restriction though - a confirmed roadtester should be able to start early.

    It won't be quick enough for you this time around  - but I'll pop a ticket in to get that restriction lifted.
