I agree with Michael. I have been a member for almost 2 years and I have made new friends, learned a lot about electronics and programming and had an opportunity to help other people interested in learning…

I see by the membership date you are new to the site. Welcome!

I suggest you make a discussion post in Test and Tools providing a list of what you have and what you need. I'm confident an old codger like myself will respond since we have a lot of the old stuff lying around.

    Hi Blaine,

You might post a picture of a piece of equipment that you have questions about and some of the guys may know what it is and how it works. Did you get manuals with equipment? As far as the components go you will just have to learn electronics and sort things as you understand them.

    Hello

I Have bought on Farnell Site, an TENMA power supply ref 72-13320 and it has been delivered with Software only for PC.
But I do not have any PC (only a Power Book from Apple). So  I have built a SW dedicated to Power Supplies. This SW should work with any power supply from TENMA company
This SW is now available on App Store (for Mac Os) under the name: « PS Remote Command »

I have updated this SW (5.0) in order to have a recorded Ethernet Address for udp, and once one USB :SYST:DEVINFO? command has been issued, this address/port remain in a file of the computer.

So next time, and after a restart off app, direct access through Ethernet is available even if Usb or serial link are no more connected

I may update this SW following your needs:

For instance, I may update this SW in order to communicate with other equipments as Farnell/Tenma like.

I also can make available other langages if necessary. Just let me know which one.

New functionalities may all be added, if your customer feel the need

For the moment, you may access directly to the app Store

    https://apps.apple.com/fr/app/ps-remote-command/id1486111327?mt=12

I hope it will feel your needs or those of your customers

You may also forward the mail to interested people

This SW is available to anyone who owns a Mac (Mac, Mac mini, Power book).
Videos of this SW are also available on:
    French version: http://www.desbief.com/WpGuy/?page_id=781

    English version: http://www.desbief.com/WpGuy/?page_id=775

    Best regards

    Guy Desbief

Hi Guys! Just wanted to introduce myself. I was in the military for 8 years and have even been in love with raspberry pi since I first heard of it about 5 years ago. I haven't been able to purchase one yet. I don't know what I would do with it! Surely there will have to bee a drone involved. Right? A ballistic cover for the raspberry pi to! What did you guys pull off as your first projects? I'm afraid I'll bite off more than I can chew, and break my new toy!
