Jedi Badge Live Again! Rogue One Launch Day - What's Your Favourite Star Wars Movie?

Last May 4th, we launched a Jedi badge for one day only, which turned out to be more popular than some of the expensive, product-driven, business-focused engagement programs that have taken lots of people weeks to plan imageimage

But that's Star Wars for you.

With Rogue One launching today (eep! High hopes for this film, I have) the timing seemed right to recruit a few more Jedi into our worthy ranks! So for today only, those who don't already have the Jedi badge can earn it by doing the following:

  • First, update your profile image and avatar to your favourite Star Wars character.
  • Then add your favourite saga quote as a status update.
  • Finally, vote in our poll below to determine the best movie in the entire Star Wars franchise (so far (far away)).

For those who've already earned the Jedi badge, completing these tasks and leaving a worthy comment below about why this is your favourite Star Wars flick will award you the rank of Jedi Master!

Go get 'em, you bunch of stuck up, half-witted, scruffy-lookin' Nerf herders!

The best is still the first one released (episode 4). Empire was awesome - the first time i'd seen sci-fi fx on a white background. The third was good, but, ewoks. and then we can skip right to Rey. Speaking…

I felt a great disturbance in the Force last night, and now I know why -- Clem voted for The Phantom Menace?! Dude's gone to the dark side... You get a badge for that, Clem -- a badge of shame!

Let's summarise the bragging attempts and score them:

    - balearicdynamics : "met the special effects designer for an interview about the techniques adopted to film the high speed attack to the center of the planet"

    - Jan Cumps : "worked with one of the operators that helped film the original opening crawl - 1977"

    - spannerspencer : "used to know Ray Park a little bit (Darth Maul) actually, from a kung fu class"

Hey, I was pushing for scarlett to lead us minions....

I don't think we want to see (or hear about) spanner in a skirt/dress/female attire.

I guess that means someone that trained with Darth Maul is a great second choice.

I will admit that the double-ended lightsaber was that film's one slice of awesomeness. And the fight scene was really good. I used to know Ray Park a little bit (Darth Maul) actually, from a kung fu class image

I actually liked the phantom Menace too, If I am remembering correctly, with the double ended Light Saber and awesome fight scenes

Three men fight with laser swords in an hangar.

I've never been a massive fan of the Star Wars movies, maybe this will explain why.

I was but a young boy, 12 years old when 'The Empire Strikes Back' hit our screens, it was back in the days when a film would include a mini film in addition to the trailers.

My dad took me to the cinema and we started to watch the film, well, the trailers and mini feature . . . . . . . . .

This went on longer than expected and seemed to include strange characters (to a sheltered 12 year old) like a cowboy, a construction worker, a native american indian, a leather clad biker etc - ALL pretty much had big moustaches.

Anyway, it soon became rather apparent that our expected movie wasn't about to materialise, and the two of us retreated to the ticket office to enquire as to why.

Well, the fact that my father had taken his 12 year old son into the Village People Movie 'Can't Stop the Music' explained the heavy audience bias towards males, and it was now obvious why a 30 some year old dragging a pre-teen boy in to see it got some funny looks.

I did finally see the rest of 'Empire', but my enjoyment of the film was affected by my experience and the seemingly unshakeable feeling that Chewbacca is maybe a bit of a 'Bear'.

Nice ! The genial idea was to film static spaceships models only changing the orientation on the chroma key then putting them on the fast moving stellar background.
