Is maker activity a seasonal endeavor?

Do you concentrate your maker activities at specific times of the year? Why?

Or you can explain in the comments at what times it is just not possible to get involved in projects.

  • I am a workaholic / gamer. I work in a coal mine running giant Tonka toys, and when at home I'm either playing video games board games or role playing games, when my wife let's me. But every now and then, I just want to make something! The last major project I took on was a euro 6-in-1 chainmaille vest. ( took me 2 years and it weighs 70lbs) This time I want to make a handheld retro console. I always find a community of people who are interested in similar things to what I want to do and look for similar builds or help with mine when I can't figure things out.

     

    A little too much info maybe, but for me it's not so Mich seasonal, as whenever I get bitten by the maker bug, I go nuts!

    I like your last comment about the maker bug and how it seizes a person. I am sure this rings a bell with most of the guys on the forum.
