As much as institutions try their darnedest to promote more women in engineering fields, there are deeper problems that keeps them out. One, women are not often exposed to engineering as a career option…

In the UK, yes - but the take up is still very low.

The problem is that nothing like enough people want to be engineers - it should be the number one career choice for far, far more kids - we don't need demonstrators stopping the traffic - we need engineers fixing the problems.
