Can't vote for any of those.
Read Silver Metal Lover (Tanith Lee).
Even DATA from StarTrek is streets ahead.
Or the robots from Neal Asher or Ian Banks' books.

If a robot has human feelings does it have human rights, certainly a human brain in a synthetic body would, so why not a human consciousness in a synthetic brain ?

android

noun [ C ]
uk /ˈæn.drɔɪd/ us /ˈæn.drɔɪd/

a robot (= machine controlled by computer) that is made to look like a human

So Androids are robots but robots are not necessarily androids.

I've always thought that robots involve motors and traditional mechanical parts and androids are more synthetic biology but it looks as if I was wrong.
