now i will hold my hands up this is probalbily easy to do but i am new to arduino but basicaly its a method to open a door yes i know it would be done easyer but this is what fits the space i have and i know i could do it all manuely with switches and that but i wanted basicaly a 2 button oparation one to open one to close.
so how i see it working is i use one push button to open and you have 4 motors that run together to push the door out till it hits a limit swich and then useing 2 more motors it lifts the door up till it hits a limit switch
and to close its just to opasit you push another button that lowers the door till it hits a limit swich and pulls the door back in till it hits a limit swich

    What you're describing is quite hard to do, especially for a beginner. On the surface it sounds easy, but anything electronic + mechanical becomes awkward due to needing to consider the success and failure situations, such as delays due to things getting stuck, abort/back-out situation, limit switch failures, etc. Electrically you'd have to deal with stalls (high current), possibility of resets and so on.

    So, there is no easy answer, but to get the knowledge to begin prototyping this, you'll probably want to do some basic Arduino tutorials, concentrating on the areas of switching LEDs on and off with push buttons, reading inputs, working with loops and timers and state machines. If you're a beginner then from the software perspective you're likely a month away from doing that, you'll need to go through some training and practical experiments first. Start with simple projects and build up the knowledge.
