Wireless,ZigBee,XBee-PRO Extended Range Embedded RF Module with U.FL connector

I have 3 Xbee RF module. But I noticed that the U.FL antennae is not included in the package.

Can I use this without the antennae?

Is there any difference in terms of distance range between with and witout the antennae? If yes, what are those?

Yes, they can be used without an antenna. Infact, i used the RPSMA xBee without its Duck antenna and it worked fine upto a very good range (a few meters).

Thanks. now my next problem is how to assign an ID to 3 XBee RF modules.

I have 3 Arduino Uno Boards, 3 XBee Shields and 3 XBee RF modules.

Can I use my existing hardwares to assign an ID to 3 XBee RF modules?

I think what you need to do is set up a PAN ID in each xBee. For this, open up X-CTU and go to its last tab (can't remember the name), where there is a Read Button. Then, find PAN ID setting below, which by default is 3332 (guessing!) and change it to the one you like. Also, for setting up a co-ordinator xBee and end-devices for a Mesh Netwrok, you may want to look at this site: http://www.faludi.com/projects/zigbee/
