Greetings Tyler, actually no, I apply power to the Arduino and the lights when I want them to run, I would use a timer otherwise. The GE G35 lights use addressable modules. The Arduino send serial data…

Greetings Tyler,
I've used an Arduino Uno to control my outdoor Christmas lights for the last 2 years. The 5 stings contain individually addressable RGB LED units (GE G35)

That's quite interesting. Do you have a photoresistor set to turn the lights on or what is triggering them to turn on?

I'm curious why you're asking the question.?
I know there are many documented projects using Arduino, which would give someone the idea its very versatile, and has many uses.
There are lots of books (for free) detailing projects that cater for novice to expert.

The search here is not 100% and you do tend to unable to filter the projects, but even so there is plenty of projects showing in

mcb1 I am just curious as to what other people have done, to talk about their projects. I have many projects in mind that I am going to be working on. Just wanted to see what kinds of stuff other people were doing, not necessarily for ideas just to get them to talk about it. That is all.
