arduino not working

Hi,

I tried to upload simple program in my freeduino uno,but it shows some java error in my desktop.when i tryed it with my friends laptop it worked.What will be the problem?

The Arduino IDE is broken not your code.

Most likely reason (you did not post an error here) if I guessed is missing some Java classes. Go back to your instructions (you do follow them right?) and try to find the missing piece.

Did you compare what versions of Java you have and what version your friends laptop was? I would uninstall the Java first and re install it. Did you post the errors here? This is the only way to fix a Java problem.
