Arduino as isp

strb

Hi, I have to use arduino uno as isp with atmel studio 7, I've upload on arduino the "arduinoasisp" sketch but i can't configure atmel studio to use it as the programmer, I've already found a couple of tutorial but it still doesn't work (probably I'm doing something wrong). Anyone can help me? Thanks.

Ciao Steffano, Have you checked this?: Arduino Playground - ArduinoOnOtherAtmelChips So, you can also try to use Arduino IDE if it is easier. Regards

gihu I have insert the attiny into arduino ide but but when I try to program it it doesn't work.

However I have found another solution, it is a little more tricky but it works, it consist on macking the program with atmel studio, building it into an hex file and then using the windows command prompt (and avrdude) I send it to arduino that program the attiny.

clem57 gihu thanks a lot for your help and suggestions, I really appreciate them.

Yes probably it will make the upload easier but even the command line isn't too difficult once learn instructions, I have  programmed only one microcontroller so I'm faster using only the command line compared to set avr studio to make it.

For future project probably I will do it but not now, thanks to all! image
