RF dongle and USB shield

Hello!

Thisis my first post on here and I'm am a bit of a novice so be gentle. I'm basically building I protect based around a neurosky mind wave EEG sensor. In the instructions I have seen you hack the dongle and take the Rx and TX directly from the dongle the the Arduino, this unfortunately means that the dongle can no longer be used in a PC.

I have bought a usb host shield to try and get round this but I'm struggling to see how I can collect the data I require as the RX and TX are no longer used. If anyone can help or even point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance

Richard

Have you cut the tracks yet? If your Arduino code just needs to listen to the dongle you could possibly just tap into the dongles TX line (Leaving RX untouched) so that the arduino could passively snoop…
