How to control a load with Arduino

Question

Hi, I would like to control through Arduino a load, ie a variable power switch connected to the mains (220-230V AC in my country). Which solution/sketch do you suggest to me? Thanks in advance. BR

First you will need a 230VAC dimmer that will support the kind of loads you expect to deal with. One of these should suite you needs. But you'll need to find out what size potentiometer is on there and replace it with a digital one so the arduino can control it. With some searching you might be able to find a dimmer module that won't need any modification.
