RGB LED source or workaround

In Jeremy's lesson 2 with the RGB, I was forced to go and purchase an RGB Led from Radio Shack.  I bought #276-008. The problem is that it has a common anode instead of a common cathode. They didn't appear to offer the kind your lesson was requiring.  Is there a wok around or better yet, a source to purchase it?

    The only difference is that the common voltage for all the LEDs is + instead of -

     

    what that means to your code is instead of outputting a one (HIGH) to turn on the LED, you will output a zero (LOW). and the common pin of the LED will go to +5V instead of 0V

    So the significant difference is sending out a LOW to turn on the LED when the common of the LED is HIGH (Common Anode), and sending out a HIGH to turn on the LED when the common is LOW (Common Cathode)

    So with very little modification you can adapt the program and simply move the common pin to 5 V instead of 0V. no need to go buy more LEDs
