Security camera for cars

Hi all,

We are building this project that is a security camera for cars. y-bus.com/camera

It takes pictures everytime the car breaks and sends it to the internet! It is a great solution for dangerous Latin American cities like Rio de Janeiro.

We are using a Arduino Yun to connect to the mobile phone hotspot (wifi) and it is kind of hard and the Yun keeps loosing connection.

I would like to make it easier for the user to connect. I was thinking using bluetooth or attaching a camera into the mobile phone.

Can anyone help me?

I like your idea, but there are some things you should put in mind. It would be better if you could have the an integrated mobile network connection ( you don't want your consumer to have to connect his or her phone or probably loose battery fast. ), and also you may want to make a local storage and probably send the image by increments due to mobile network signals to be bad at some points, probably make it send when you have a good solid connection. P.S. For cars its called brakes, not breaks.

I was able to create a prototype with local storage using the wifi hotspot.
But I thinking to use a bluetooth connection just like a phone connect to the speakers of the car.
