does any one know of a high school curriculum to learn arduino and its programming language. i am home schooled and next year will be going in to 11th grade. i want to do some kind of computer programming class. since arduino is fun and hands on i thought that i would use it. if any one knows of a curriculum or something online that would be great. im also interested in html.

IMO its a very expensive kit, that includes very little.

The LCD shield covers the pins, so for an alternative ....
I purchased these parts for a kit to use in our classroom teachings.
IteadStudio don't carry the I2C (4 wire) displays, however Yourduino does at a very good price, and are very reliable.
I found the Black on Yellow background are faster scrolling.

You will need cables to connect the display (If the latch gets in the way, you can remove it easily with a sander).

So for USD$40.10 plus post and pack, you get a WHOLE lot more.
I do realise there is a difference between teaching Arduino and Electronics, but as many novices/newbies find, they not only have to master the right connections, they need the right code as well.
The 'plug and play' grove style connections eliminates many of those mistakes.
