Hello.

I need necessary hardware to control the Light Module on an 2006 BMW, especially to activate the brake lights.

Can this be done by this arduino build?

Although this is technically quite straightforward my major concern is that this could be (and probably is) illegal.
I am not referring to the DMCA or whatever any particular country calls it but specifically illegal to use on a road from a safety standpoint.

The CAN bus is a very interesting subject and if you happen to live in a flexible country with regard to road laws then I'd love to see how your project goes.

It's for a school project. The car will only run on a track.
