Hello all,
I wanted to point out that at our partner site, Element 14, we have been putting together a good article series on embedded memory called Storage Insights.
There are two articles so far. The first being: Storage Insights #1 - Why Not All SD Cards are Created Equal
This goes into a good comparison of various solid state memory types and can help you determine the TYPE of SDCARD or solid state memory for your embedded project. It also helps to give you an understanding of why we pick the memory cards we provide in our kits.

The second being: Storage Insights #2 - Optimizing your Storage Device
This article explains some details about what happens when you write to a solid state memory device. All the various decisions and optimizations that you might need to consider to ensure you pick the proper memory for your application. Just as in other system decisions, there is not just one "the best" to pick. Depending on things like sequential writing, random writing, as well as the general impacts this makes to the lifespan of the various memory solutions.

If you have questions, don't hesitate to post on the Element14 site under the blog post itself, as not only are we monitoring, but the experts at Delkin also monitor the articles!
