Lab 05 - "undefined reference to 'main'"

Former Member

Hello,

Been having this problem for a little while now. I'm currently going through lab 5 of the tutorial and right after I make the main.c file I get these two errors which I can't resolve:

make:***[src/main.o] Error 1   LED_Dimmer
undefined reference to 'main'  xil-crt0.S

Other background is that I recently switched from 14.7 to 14.6 so that I could receive better support from the class that I'm taking right now.

Any ideas on what I could do to fix this?

Regards,
Keyur

If you are trying to start with the 'solution' for Lab 4 from the Intro to Zynq zip file the problem is that the BSP you are using was created by a much earlier version of the Xilinx ISE tools and will need to be updated. I tried generating a new BSP when making the LED_Dimmer application and that corrected the errors that you are seeing.

However there are probably going to be other differences so it would be best to start the tutorial from the start in PlanAhead 14.6 if that is the tool suite you plan to use.
