initial booting

Question

We purchased a MMP with zynq 7z100.
Since we followed the simple instruction,
we found that the initial serial connection didn't work.
We used sd card-based booting with factory-installed linux image. Is there any known defect on instruction or linux image? And is there any useful information on it?

Hello S.Y. We have a Vivado 2014.2 Petalinux Software Reference Design and BSP available on the Zynq MMP Reference Designs and Tutorials page: http://zedboard.org/support/design/3006/26 The Ethernet connection could be several things. Does the software running on your Zynq MMP board us DHCP or some other method to obtain an IP address or do you set a static IP address? Is the IP address set on the same subnet as your router. Does it conflict with another device on your router with the same IP address? I have also see this problem when wireless ethernet is enabled on the host PC -Gary
