Unstable

I am going through the getting started guide with my new ZedBoard and find some instability.

It started when I plugged in a 100BT ethernet.

The serial connection (using tera term then later PuTTY) would lock up.  I have to unplug the USB from the Windows 7 computer and replug, then reset the comm session to get going again.

Also, the ZB reboots spontaneously.  Fairly often. 

I unplugged the ethernet and was able to play for about an hour and a half until I plugged back in and things went bad again within about three minutes.

I haven't made any changes to the image yet.

Any suggestions?

    I can use SSH, so it isn't life threatening.

    I am configured as USB OTG.
    I am using the supplied USB cables.

    Sometimes the PuTTY or teraterm session locks such that I need to pull the USB, reinsert, then reset the terminal session.  In this case, the SSH session still works.

    Sometimes the board reboots spontaneously.  I suppose it might be helpful in this case if I were using a persistent 'image' in case something is logged?
