UltraZed-EG Starter Kit

Hi Guys Need help,

I just received my Ultrazed-EG starter kit from Avnet. Tried the quick starter instruction card example. Nothing scrolls on terminal screen. I installed SiLab device drivers for Windows 10. Can see two USB to UART terminal 5 & 7. I have set the terminal to 115200, 8/n/1/n.  The setting on the I/O card per instruction are: SW2[4:1] = ON, ON, ON, LOW to set MODE[3:0] to 0x01 to load from QSPI and JP1 is jumpered. I can see the fan runs and RED LED on SOM card turns on. But don't see the blinking user lights on carrier I/O board as mentioned in example. I also, tried different switch configuration for SW2 and try to boot from SD card with BOOT.bin loaded on it from another example.

    Hi there,

    two questions.

Do you see the blue DONE led light up?

Can you try BOTH serial ports?  Even though two show up, one is terminal and the other is not.

We see this dual serial port thing often with Windows 10.  Seeing the BLUE DONE LED is the most important.

    Hi Dan,

I figured out the issue. One of the SOM board connector wasn’t making good contact with carrier board. The board works now. Appreciate your help.

    take care

    Reza
