How to assign Clock pin in UCF file in Xilinx ISE project?- HELP

Hello,

I have made an I2S bus for MicroZed board to communicate with CODEC. I made the project in Xilinx ISE but could not find the system clock pin. I know the clock is available in PS, but how to assign it if I am not using PS and want to work with Xilinx ISE. Any solution?

    Hi NaveedAnwar,

    Which MicroZed carrier are you using to prototype your design?

    In order to use clocks provided from the PS, you will need to run the ps7_init.tcl file or run a piece of software that executes the ps7_init.c functions to get the processing system PLLs up and running to the desired frequency.  I don't know if there is a way to do this directly from ISE without using SDK to configure the processing system.

    Alternatively, if you are using the MicroZed IO Carrier there is a 100MHz oscillator at X1 on the carrier board that is connected to a SRCC pin at K17 that you could use if you simply need a clock source.

    That oscillator will also need to be enabled by pulling pin K18 high.
