UART Connection

Hi

Please, I need some help. I am working with Vivado 2014.4, I am trying to run Hello World application, but I get not no connection to TeraTerminal neither Terminal1 using SDK. I got this error

Connection canceled due to ownership request from org.eclipse.debug.internal.cor
e.LaunchConfiguration.

In Vivado, I selected only UART1 peripheral. When I tried to use the Preset option I got error ( I used the ps7.tcl from Picozed.org for Vivado 2014.4) -- Not a Valid Preset

The PL and PS aparently are programmed. Led FPGA DONE turns BLUE, but PS USER LED is always red.

The driver for UART is installed, I detect COM3 in my PC, but no data serial in the Terminal. I am using 115200 baud rate.

Also, it might not hurt to verify that SDK is being run with permissions to open the UART. Perhaps on some machines where user access is restricted, the permissions to access the UART device are insufficient.

Also, a lot of us simply use an external terminal like Tera Term since it has some advanced features (like scripted input) and this might work better for you as well. If you go that route, you will want to make sure that when you launch your application with a Debug/Run configuration that the "Connect STDIO to Console" option is disabled.

Thank you for your reply. I tried all your suggest before. Iu00B4m using Zedboard for testing applications and all works perfectly. I use Teraterm and disable "Connect STDIO to Console" option (Zedboard works always), Z030 doesnu00B4t.

Also I was working in Ubuntu, and I have the same problems. Z030 never transmits information to the console (I am using gtkterm). Zedboard works.

Do you have any other sidea where it might be my error.
