Trying to make a bare minimum PicoZed SDR Carrier card. Designed a card that only provides the 5V rail, (according to the user guide should work):
4.16.1 Input Voltages
PicoZed SDR Z7035/AD9361 is powered from the carrier card through micro headers JX1, JX2, and JX3. There are six unique voltages that can be supplied to the module. The only mandatory input is the 5.0V system supply. The others are powered only as needed by your design.
My PicoZed SDR doesn't power up on the custom carrier (works fine on supplied carrier), I measured and the super sequencer is shutting down the board at Q13.
Looking at: https://wiki.analog.com/resources/eval/user-guides/pzsdr/power-and-sequencing
It seems like the super sequencer checks for JX_VCCO_12 JX_VCCO_13 JX_VCCO_33_34 JX_MGTAVTT JX_MGTAVCC, and if all of these are not present, goes into shutdown.
Seems like this conflicts with the non-mandatory statement in the user guide!
My question is can I salvage this carrier by reprogramming the ADM1166 to skip checking these rails, or is there a reason the ADM1166 is programmed to make them mandatory?
Thanks,
Jeremy
