Linux: Generating a Device Tree (DTS) file on Zynq-7000

Hi,

I just managed to automatically create a DTS file for Zynq-7020 using libgen, using the device-tree package.

I describe how to do it here:

But then I noted that Xilinx' relevant Wiki page says this flow isn't supported. So is the Wiki page outdated, or did I just create a DTS file worth nothing?

I would, of course, love to try it out myself, but my Zedboard hasn't arrived yet... (hint, hint).

Hi eli,

To create DTS file for ZedBoard, the ZC702 default devicetree file can be used as a template with following changes:
1. change Memory size to 512mb.
2. remove i2c node
3. modify the ethernet phy as ZC702 and ZedBoard use different phy.

Make sure the FSBL is also rebuilt for ZedBoard.
