Ethernet Cable Plug On After boot

Former Member
Former Member over 8 years ago
I'm running the lwIP Echo Server application example.
It work fine for me.
However if the ethernet cable is not connected during boot the application fails (due to PHY to complete autonegotiation - speed setup) .
How can I have my code keep running in the real world?
Thanks,
Ami

    Hello,

I tested if my setup has the same issue. All works fine, no matter if I plug in the Ethernet cable during boot or not. Could you provide more details, please?

    Sincerly

    Joseph

You are right. The issue is not the boot but the startup setup.
    Here is my console output:

    -----lwIP TCP echo server ------
TCP packets sent to port 6001 will be echoed back
    Start PHY autonegotiation
Waiting for PHY to complete autonegotiation.
    Auto negotiation error
    Phy setup error
Assert due to phy setup failure
