Ultra96v2 on boot, 4 user leds are on

 

Hello, I was using Pynq v2.5 on my Ultra96 v2 board and I accidently placed a wire, which is connected with 3.3V, on the surface of the board.

Maybe It shorted some components on the board.

After that, the board is not booting and stuck with Power on LED (green), INIT_B LED (red) and all 4 user leds are on.

I see no display or terminal output.

 

I tried to boot up with another Ultra96v2 board with the same SD boot image and It worked well.

I even tried PYNQ  v2.4 img and petalinux img from Avnet, but no luck.

 

Is there any solution or approach for this problem?

  • I am very sorry, but I suspect you have damaged your board. You did the right thing to try a known good boot image. You could also try accessing the Xilinx ZU+ over JTAG, but I'm not sure how far you will get. You may have damaged a power rail, which will hold the board in reset. You could go rail by rail looking for voltage issues, but there is not a simple answer to locating the specific issue at this point.
