No power on base board

cone83
cone83 over 8 years ago

I just received my Ultrazed starter kit. I tried powering it up but unfortunately the only thing that happens when flipping the power switch is that the power LED lights up. The fan doesn't power up, none of the LEDs on the Ultrazed light up and of course there's no output on the UART.

I measured the voltages on the VMON header and received this:

+ VIN = 12 V
+5.0V =  0V
+3.3V = 0 V
+3.3V_PRI = 3.3 V
+MGTRAVCC = 0.1 V
+MGTRAVTT = 0 V
+VCC1_V8 = 0 V

Did I just receive a faulty base board or am I missing something?

Please make sure JP1 jumper is NOT installed on the UltraZed-EG SOM. Installing this jumper will disable all voltage regulators.

I have the same issue (ultrazed EV starter kit). SW7 is in on position, but I only get the green LED (D15). I checked and on the SOM JP1 is not installed, it has jumpers on JP2 and JP3. I followed all the steps in the getting started guide (V1.3), I also installed the heatsink and fan, which is not specced in the getting started, but I don't think that'll cause the problem.

    Hey guys,

there was an issue with where the jumpers were installed from the factory. Note, JP3 is the POWER_DISABLE. This jumper must be removed! There is silk screen that labels them. JP1 is actually one of the PMBus communication lines.

    Removing that jumper worked.
