PS-GTR USB3.0 Clock Freq

gge7
gge7 over 8 years ago

Hello

Thank you all for taking the time to read this.  I am a little confused but I think this will be easy to clear up.

On the IDT Clock Generator the original UltraZed IO Carrier had a 5P49V5935B521LTGI part listed with a frequency of 52MHz listed.  Now I saw in an eariler post that the part is really the 5P49V5935B536LTGI which from the custom Datasheet the frequency is 26MHz not the 52MHz that the original part listed had.  So is it 26MHz or 52MHz?

Please let me know and thank you for your help.

Gary

The example design will be posted to the IO Carrier Card web page http://zedboard.org/product/ultrazed-io-carrier-card by the end of this week.

Hello, has this been posted somewhere else?

I found a 2016.2 example design: "Open Source Linux USB3 Performance Test Tutorial" but it's not fixing the USB3 always connected at USB2 speeds issue.

I can read and write to the clock generator but the solution in the Appendix does not work.

I download the "UltraZed_Open_Source_Linux_USB3_Performance_Test_2016_2_01-Tutorial" with the above website link. But these files are same as "UltraZed_Open_Source_Linux_Sata_Performance_Test_2016_2_01-Tutorial" actually. I have try many times, but failed all the times.
How can i get the right files? Can you send these files to me by email. My email is ynt_zhurong@sina.com.Thank you.

The Link above is correct and you are downloading the correct documents. Look in the Doc folder that you downloaded. There you will see information inregards to the USB3 performance testing.

The doc folder is correct and I can see information inregards to the USB3.0 performance testing. However, the boot folder is incorrect. When i copy the BOOT.bin and Image.ub into the SD Card and boot the system form the sd card. I locate at home directory and find sata_performance_test.sh but not usb_performance_test.sh. Then i compare the boot folder with the boot folder in the "Open_Source_Linux_Sata_Performance_Test". And it is same really.
