launching elf file period takes too much time

Hi,

When I run a simple "hello world" on sdk after creating bitstrem on XPS, launching the elf file takes approximately 2 minutes. I walked step by step as in zedboard CTT doc. Is it common for all or does this problem belong to just me?

Hi erdoganc,

Are you wrapping up the elf into a First Stage Boot Loader (FSBL) or launching it via SDK using the JTAG port? If you are programming it via the JTAG port this time does sound a bit long, but not unrealistic. If you would like a closer to 'instant on' functionality, you will want to create a FSBL with your elf in it.

Thanks Tim for your quick reply,
I run the hello world directly on SDK without FSBL. I would like to run the code from DDR. I don't want to upload the code to flash every time. Again I was expecting to run the code quickly, do i miss something about configuration or compiler parameter?

It can be about 'Save all files' or 'save this file' option.
